The gut digests our food and its function can control our mood. An intricate network of neurons performs the daily digestive grind which can be disrupted in a connective tissue disorder, leaving you with very unpleasant symptoms. Clarifying Gastrointestinal Symptoms in Marfan syndrome is Professor Qasim Aziz, an expert on neurogastroenterology and a specialist in diseases of the gut. This is a unique opportunity to ask the questions you’ve always wanted to ask.

(This event will be held on Zoom and recorded in its entirety).

PROFESSOR QASIM AZIZ

Professor Qasim Aziz is a renowned Professor of Neurogastroenterology.

Professor Qasim Aziz was appointed as Professor of Neurogastroenterology at Barts and The London in December 2006 and is the director of the Wingate Institute of Neurogastroenterology .  Professor Aziz also has a keen interest in gut manifestations in other systemic diseases, including connective tissue disorders, neurological diseases such as multiple sclerosis and stroke, and endocrine diseases like diabetes. He is an accomplished international speaker and regularly lectures on his areas of expertise.
