Exploring the underexplored, Professor Julie Sanders is investigating sex-specific outcomes after aortic dissection, and the under-representation of women in AD research. She invites you to help shape her research at this webinar on Wednesday.
Professor Sanders (Professor of Cardiovascular Care, Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care, King's College London & St Barts) is seeking patients/carers/public with some experience related to aortic dissection surgery.
Professor Julie Sanders' project aims to generate research ideas and priorities relating to:
ยท Sex-specific outcomes after aortic dissection
- Health-related quality of life and psychosocial outcomes after aortic dissection
- The under-representation of women in aortic dissection research

At the first webinar we will present the limited evidence that exists in these areas and seek your thoughts on where you would like to see future research development. This will be held on:
Date: Wednesday, 29th January 2025
Time: 19:00-20:30 (UK time)
Platform: Zoom
We will also be seeking approx 10 individuals who would then like to work with us more closely to develop these ideas into funding/research proposals (payment for time will be provided).
Your support and involvement is crucial to the success of this project and direction of the future research that we undertake so we would very much like you to click here to register and receive joining instructions for the webinar.
The team and I very much look forward to seeing you online on the webinar.
For people who want to contribute but are unable to attend, please click here to provide three words regarding quality of life and sex-specific outcomes after aortic dissection surgery that you would consider a priority for research. Alternatively, please email any questions to [email protected] .
