Once they were a family of four. Now they are three. Loving young father Russell died of complications from Marfan syndrome last year. His brother-in-law and nephew are running simultaneous marathons to stop this from happening to others.

Hi, my son Oscar is running the Junior Great North Run and I am running The Great North Run on 8 September in memory of our uncle/ brother-in-law, Russell Mills, who tragically passed away at only 32 years old last year, due to a heart complication. Russell was a big part of so many people’s lives and he is very missed by all that he has left behind. Unfortunately, I could only get a charity place and Marfan Trust is too small of a charity to register. So, I am running for The British Heart Foundation and will be splitting the money I raise with Marfan Trust.
The only Marfan charity in the UK, the Marfan Trust undertakes medical research into Marfan syndrome, supports those with the condition and raises much needed awareness.
We are very grateful for anything you can spare to sponsor us.
Thank you!
